Information Regarding COVID-19
Please see below for information regarding the COVID-19 Situation. If You Have any Questions Please Use The Form To The Right or Give Us a Call and We Would be Happy to Answer Them.
Hello current and prospective patients of Parkway Dental;
As per the recommendation of the BC Minister of Health, all staff and Dentists who have attended the Pacific Dental Conference (PDC) have been self quarantined and will remain quarantined until the 14 day incubation period (since potential exposure at the PDC) has elapsed. All staff and Dentists who attended the PDC, except one, are symptom free. The one staff member with symptoms has been tested and results were negative for COVID-19.
Any staff or Dentists who begin to exhibit symptoms and meet the requirements for testing will get testing immediately. If the results come back positive for COVID-19 we will let those patients who were in contact with them know immediately.
As you are aware this means that staff and Dentists who attended the PDC have provided services to some of our patients prior to the announcement by the Minister of Health and may have yet to show symptoms.
Unless you are elderly, immunocompromised or directed by a physician or nurse to find out if you were exposed to a staff member who may have yet to show symptoms of COVID-19, please do not contact the clinic as we cannot provide you with anymore information at this time.
Due to both the College of Dental Surgeons and College of Hygienists mandates, we will only be able to assist those with dental emergencies who are in pain and in need of immediate treatment.
Furthermore, because the limited amount of staff we have left and available, please keep those who are in urgent need of information or in need of emergency dental treatment in mind before you attempt to contact our office.
As soon as this situation changes and we are able to offer more than emergency dental services, we will be able to assist others by answering your questions.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we all do our best to deal with this situation and limit the spread of COVID-19 to help protect those who are vulnerable to it.
